Abstract
The dataset comprises the outcomes of a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed scientific studies that collected Lepidoptera data within Germany. Detailed information on the methodology of the literature review is provided in the corresponding publication. The dataset contains metadata for each study, including: Study ID, title, author(s), Journal, Journal Impact Factor, data availability, year of publication, web service used for literature search, country, federal state, sampling years, availability of information on the study area, section of the study containing study area details, landscape classification, availability of data on Lepidoptera species and abundance, number of Lepidoptera species and individuals recorded, size of study area, sampling method, section of the paper containing Lepidoptera data, and additional comments. The data are provided as a CSV file.
