Abstract
Anatomical data describing characters and states of the Cretaceous ammonoid family Acanthoceratidae. Data include a Nexus file to be used with application Mesquite for analysis. Nexus file contains all characters and states used in the study, which can be applied to any coiled ammonoid group. Excel file contains the upper and lower bounds of each continuous character used in this study. Code included is for simulations based on the compatibility of measured species to develop a null-hypothesis phylogenetic tree of the study group, which can be used beyond ammonoids.
Dataset DOI: 10.5061/dryad.gf1vhhn3v
