Abstract

Biogents Sentinel Traps with Heat (BGSH) were deployed along a 2.5-km transect extending from the village of Sogolombougou, Mali, into surrounding agropastoral habitats. Twenty-four traps positioned at six distances (0-2500 m) were operated for four consecutive nights during four seasonal phases (dry, dry-to-rainy, rainy, and rainy-to-dry) over two consecutive years. Captured mosquitoes were identified morphologically and members of the Anopheles gambiae complex were characterised by PCR. Female anophelines were screened for Plasmodium falciparum sporozoites using CSP-ELISA.
