Abstract

This dataset contains monthly aggregated records of mosquito oviposition activity collected using ovitraps of different materials (plastic, glass, and bamboo) from June 2017 to May 2018 in Eldorado, Misiones, Argentina, where Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus co-occur. Data are summarized by month and ovitrap type. Eggs collected from ovitrap paddles were counted and classified according to their condition (hatched, collapsed, and intact). Total egg abundance per sampling unit is also provided. Eggs were subsequently immersed to induce hatching, and resulting larvae were reared to the fourth instar for species identification. The dataset includes the number of positive ovitraps, total larval emergence, and species-specific detection (Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus).
