Abstract
This dataset includes all sampling data from HPAI H5N1 sampling on Horseshoe and Dismal Islands (Marguerite Bay, West Antarctic Peninsula), used in the study "Impacts of high pathogenicity avian influenza H5N1 2.3.4.4b south of the Antarctic Circle". Specifically, data include location and date of sampling, identity, condition, and age of sampled species, alongside test results for each sample linked to a distinct sample ID.

- Condition: Categorical status. Carcass - Older, Carcass - Fresh, Alive - Healthy.
- Age: Categorical status. Adult, Runner, Juvenile.
- Sample_ID: Unique ID.
- Sample_Type: Type of sample (e.g., oropharyngeal/cloacal, brain, faecal)
- Rapid_test_result: Positive/Negative.
- M_gene_Ct: CT value (numeric). NT if not tested.
- H5_2.3.4.4: CT value (numeric). NT if not tested.
- H5_2.3.4.4 HPAI: CT value (numeric). NT if not tested.
- N1_2.3.4.4: CT value (numeric). Note, not CT values were derived from this test, so values were either "No ct" or "NT" if not tested.
