Abstract
This dataset contains paleomagnetic and rock magnetic measurements for lunar meteorite Northwest Africa (NWA) 15528, together with calibration data from previously heated Syracuse University Lava Project (SULP) basalt samples. The SULP sample dataset includes alternating field (AF) demagnetization of laboratory-imparted thermal remanent magnetizations (TRM) acquired in known fields and the corresponding anhysteretic remanent magnetization (ARM) paleointensity experiments, which yield a TRM/ARM calibration ratio (f′) of ∼4 . NWA 15528 measurements constrain a near‑zero lunar paleointensity (≤ 0.32 μT) at ~0.7 Ga, consistent with cessation of the lunar core dynamo.

Description of the data and file structure
These data comprise alternating field (AF) demagnetization, ARM acquisition, Thellier-Coe paleointensity, and rock magnetism measurements from sub-samples of the lunar meteorite NWA 15528. The paleomagnetic experiments, including AF demagnetization and paleointensity determinations, were conducted at the Paleomagnetism and Geochronology Laboratory (PGL) of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics (IGG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) using a 2G Enterprises RAPID superconducting rock magnetometer with a built-in AF demagnetizer and a 2G Enterprises DC-SQUID superconducting rock magnetometer (Model 755 4K) with an integrated AF demagnetizer. Rock magnetism data (e.g., hysteresis loops and FORCs) were acquired at the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) using a Lake Shore 8604 vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). In addition, the ARM normalization factor f′ for NWA 15528 was determined using previously heated SULP samples, which contain metallic iron as a dominant remanence carrier and exhibit rock magnetic properties similar to those of NWA 15528. These calibration experiments were performed at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) using an AGICO LDA5 alternating field demagnetizer and a 2G Enterprises DC-SQUID magnetometer (Model 755).
Files and variables
File: magic_contribution_20329.txt
Description: This is a file in magic format that needs to be read using pmagpy. It contains the AF, ARM, TD, and Thellier-Coe data of NWA 15528. You can download pmagpy from the official repository and find detailed usage instructions at the following link: pmagpy Documentation.
Variables
File: AFD_TD_data.xlsx
Description: This file contains the demagnetization data of NWA 15528 subsamples. It includes the same information as in the "magic_contribution_20069.txt" file but in a more accessible Excel format.
Variables

treatment: a number with one or two decimal point (X.Y)
coding for thermal demagnetization: 0.0 or 0 is NRM. X is temperature in celsius Y is always 0 coding for AF demagnetization: 0.0 or 0 is NRM. X is AF peak field in mT Y = 0 in the traditional MagIC format; here Y is the normal decimal component. coding for Thellier-type experiment: 0.0 or 0 is NRM X is temperature in celsius Y=0: zerofield Y=1: infield Y=2: pTRM check Y=3: pTRM tail check Y=4: Additivity check -

dec_t: declination after tilt correction (0 to 360)
For our meteorite samples, only the specimen coordinate system (s) is meaningful. Since these samples do not have a meaningful geographic orientation or bedding/tilt information, the values for the geographic (g) and tilt-corrected (t) coordinates are left blank.
