Abstract

An orthogonal experiment is a statistical technique that allows you to efficiently evaluate the impact of multiple factors and their varying levels simultaneously. The analysis of orthogonal experiments provides information on the effect of factors on the tested objective and the relationship between factors. In this paper we presented a demonstration of orthogonal experiment using a study on the type of resin, the resolution of the printer, the width of the channel, and the height of the channel on the chance of success of Channel Thoroughness Test for a long narrow channel at a length of 8.5 mm as an example. The result showed that we can analyze the determining factor(s) among all the factors studied on the objective; analyze quantitatively of extend of effect by linearization; study the relationship between factors by constructing 3D tables. Through this experiment, we have shown the importance of conducting a complete and thorough orthogonal experiment. It sets up a model for all future orthogonal experiments.
