Abstract
The taxonomy of Tzveleviochloa in India is revised based on morphological evidence, comprehensive observations of herbarium specimens and field records, and several botanical explorations in the study area. The accepted diversity is increased from two to five species, including two recently described species. The genus is distributed in the Western and Eastern Himalaya and the Western Ghats. Pilose hairs on leaf blades can distinguish species, along with panicle shape and size, glume nerves, lemma, and anther length. We present a comprehensive taxonomic treatment of the genus Tzveleviochloa, including a description of the genus and its species, taxonomic keys, flowering and fruiting, habitat and distribution comments, and taxonomic notes. In addition, we discussed the history of the genus, its morphological details, geographic and altitudinal distribution, and a preliminary assessment of conservation threats.

Description of the data and file structure
Morphological characters of different spirelets were measured in units of millimeters (mm) under a stereo zoom microscope on the examined specimens. We assessed the morphological boundaries between species to distinguish the species morphology using a box plot that shows the mean, median, interquartile range, and minimum and maximum values. In addition, the Geographic Positioning System (GPS) coordinates (latitude and longitude) were obtained from examined specimens, recorded in decimal form, and used in IUCN Red List analysis with the GeoCAT tool and for preparing the distribution map.
Files and variables
File: Tzveleviochloa_GPS_Cooirdinates.xlsx
Description: Raw data for the Geo-CAT tool and distribution maps (Table 2 and Figure of Manuscript)

Code/software
- For the IUCN Red List assessment, the GeoCat tool was used to infer the Extent of occurrence (EOO) and Area of Occupancy (AOO)
- For Morphological comparison, the statistical models (Box Plot) were conducted using Microsoft Excel.
