Abstract
This dataset accompanies the manuscript "Development of a Reliable PCR-Based Protocol for Molecular Sexing of King Vultures Sarcoramphus papa". It contains sample metadata, NanoDrop DNA concentration and purity measurements for DNA extracted from whole blood, blood preserved on Whatman FTA cards, and plucked feathers, and molecular sex assignments obtained using three CHD1 primer sets (2550F/2718R, NP/1272H, and NP/MP/P2). The dataset supports the evaluation of PCR-based molecular sexing methods for S. papa.

Description of the data and file structure
This dataset was generated to evaluate PCR-based molecular sexing in king vultures (Sarcoramphus papa) using three CHD1 primer sets (2550F/2718R, NP/1272H, and NP/MP/P2). The dataset includes sample metadata, NanoDrop DNA concentration and purity measurements for DNA extracted from whole blood, blood preserved on Whatman FTA cards, and plucked feathers, and the resulting molecular sex assignments for eight individuals. These data support the analyses and conclusions presented in the associated manuscript.
